Co-Founder, Operations

Brooke Gage

Brooke has spent her career turning complex operations into streamlined, human-first systems that actually work—and work well. Early in her journey, she served as an Executive Assistant and later a Project Manager for a high-end residential builder, supporting teams across Nevada, California, and Hawaii. From managing vendors and contracts to creating standardized processes that held up across job sites, Brooke learned quickly that excellence comes from the details—and from the people behind them.

Her sharp eye for systems and service naturally led her to Ember Defense, where she helped launch the company’s Private Client program—an exclusive concierge offering for wildfire consulting and protection tailored to high-net-worth homeowners. In that role, she supported sales efforts, managed sensitive client relationships, and helped build the backend infrastructure that kept the program running smoothly. She later stepped into the role of Director of Operations, where she led the development of the Ember Certified Contractor Network and helped launch their e-commerce division, all while remaining closely involved in homeowner evaluations, contractor training, and customer support. When the company shifted its focus to emergency response, she, along with a few key team members ultimately decided that the need for what they had built was far too great and they founded MitigateNow.

Guided by a heart for service, Brooke’s leadership style is hands-on and people-first. She’s not afraid to tackle the hard jobs and leads by example—building trust, solving problems, and holding the bar high for herself and those around her. Whether she’s guiding a homeowner through risk mitigation or supporting a contractor in growing a business with purpose, Brooke brings clarity, structure, and a deep respect for the work. Her ability to connect big-picture strategy with everyday execution has made her an essential force behind MitigateNow.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys traveling the world, exploring the outdoors, catching live music, and spending time with her husband, dog, and their close friends and family. Her leadership reflects her core belief: lead with care, build with intention, and always stand behind your people. As she sees it, “Leadership is not about being in charge. It’s about taking care of those in your charge.” – Simon Sinek
