A career built across the table from the people he now serves

William’s path to MitigateNow runs through nearly every chair an operator can sit in. He has founded and sold a consumer brand, owned and grown an insurance agency through both expansion and carrier-driven contraction, managed projects across several industries with teams ranging in size from 6 to 600, and run his own painting contracting business. Each of those ventures shares a common thread: small operators living and dying by the predictability of their revenue and the strength of their partnerships.

That perspective shapes how he approaches MitigateNow’s partnership work. The mitigation and restoration industry has long been defined by feast or famine cycles, opaque lead flow, and partnership structures that often favor the platform over the operator. He delivers programs where contractors, manufacturers, and franchise organizations gain real, measurable lift from being part of the MitigateNow network.

A founder’s lens on partnership

As the founder of Bare Theory Soap Co., William built a personal care brand from concept through exit, handling product development, branding, manufacturing, international sourcing, and multi-channel distribution across Amazon and Walmart. As a Farmers Insurance agency owner, he doubled his book in three years, bonused every month, and earned the company’s most prominent agent award in his first year. Both experiences taught him the same lesson from different angles: the businesses that thrive are the ones whose partners actually understand what they’re building.

Service, discipline, and the long view

Before his business career, William spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps and nine years as an independent contractor supporting U.S. government operations overseas. He doesn’t lead with that background, but it informs how he works. He is comfortable with autonomy, calm under pressure, and committed to doing what he says he’ll do.

Outside the office

William is an avid offshore sailor with ocean-crossing experience on private yachts, an outdoor adventure guide and educator, and a wide-ranging reader whose curiosity drives much of how he approaches problems. He is based in the Reno and Lake Tahoe area.
