About Adam Iveson
Adam has worked in wildfire and disaster mitigation for nearly a decade, backed by more than fifteen years of leadership across business, sales, construction, property operations, and private-client services. He's based his career around solving complex property challenges, developing trusted client relationships, and turning specialized services into scalable businesses
As Co-Founder and now Advisor & Board Member at MitigateNow, Adam brings a builder’s mindset to community resilience. As a co-founder of Ember Defense, he helped build a wildfire mitigation company from the ground up, combining field assessments, home-hardening solutions, client education, and emergency preparedness services. He’s worked side by side with homeowners, assessing risks, organizing crews, and solving problems before they turn into headlines. He believes the best mitigation starts long before the smoke shows up
Adam’s mantra? Take action early or pay for it later. At MitigateNow, he contributes strategic leadership across sales, contractor partnerships, partnership development, and national growth. But he believes effective mitigation requires more than products: it takes qualified professionals, informed homeowners, dependable systems, and sustained preparation long before disaster conditions develop. His approach combines education, prevention, and practical planning to turn readiness into a way of life
Outside of work, Adam is an avid birder and airboat enthusiast. He enjoys spending time with his wife and business partner, who shares his drive for excellence and purposeful work
Adam’s path into wildfire mitigation began with a desire to make a lasting difference. His professional background spans family office operations, high-value property management, construction, logistics, business development, and concierge project oversight for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. These roles sharpened his ability to manage complex projects, communicate with discerning property owners, coordinate specialized vendors, and lead teams where precision, discretion, and accountability are essential.
Before joining MitigateNow, Adam co-founded Ember Defense, where he helped transform how wildfire defense is approached across the western United States. Over nearly a decade, he personally assessed more than 3,000 properties, helping homeowners evaluate vulnerabilities involving ember intrusion, vents, gutters, defensible space, exterior materials, water resources, and other property-level risks. His leadership extended from product installations and preparedness planning to sales development, contractor-network creation, insurer relationships, and collaboration with fire professionals.
Through partnerships with insurance professionals, fire authorities, and property owners, Adam developed innovative strategies that continue to shape best practices in the mitigation industry. His work has served property owners in high-risk communities throughout Northern and Southern California, including Napa and Sonoma counties, Montecito, and Malibu, while also informing broader programs designed for national application. Along the way, he’s helped develop concierge wildfire protection services, vetted mitigation solutions, contractor partnerships, and client education programs that connect technical field knowledge with clear, actionable recommendations.
Today, as a Board Member and Advisor at MitigateNow, Adam combines his field-tested knowledge with strategic foresight to help scale wildfire defense and disaster mitigation solutions nationwide. He helps shape the company’s business strategy, contractor network, sales growth, and expansion into multiple disaster-mitigation markets. His long-term vision is to make credible mitigation guidance and qualified implementation resources more accessible to homeowners across the United States, built around resilience, collaboration, and helping every homeowner take proactive steps toward a safer future
As his grandfather always said,“If you get to it and don’t do it, you may never get to do it again. Adam has taken that to heart, and it shows in how he leads and protects
