About Brooke Gage

Brooke’s work has always been about making messy, high-stakes operations run smoother for the people on the ground. As Co-Founder and Operations Lead at MitigateNow, she manages contractor support systems, homeowner experience programs, and daily operations related to disaster preparedness.

Before MitigateNow, Brooke worked in high-end residential construction across Nevada, California, and Hawaii. She spent years coordinating projects, schedules, vendors, and client communication, so she knows what it takes to keep teams aligned and homeowners informed. Later, she moved deeper into wildfire mitigation work and helped develop programs and contractor networks within the mitigation industry.

Her leadership style is grounded in preparation, accountability, and strong relationships. She believes communities are better protected when homeowners have dependable contractors and a clear plan in place long before disaster strikes.

Professional Background & Disaster Mitigation Experience

Brooke began in high-end residential construction, first as an Executive Assistant and later as a Project Manager for a luxury builder working across Nevada, California, and Hawaii. She managed vendors, contracts, schedules, crews, and client communication across multiple job sites.

The experience sharpened her ability to organize moving parts and maintain a high standard of service across every project.

Later, she joined Ember Defense and helped launch their Private Client Program: a concierge wildfire consulting service that supported homeowners looking for customized mitigation plans. Brooke coordinated client relationships, managed operations, led homeowner evaluations, and helped strengthen internal systems.

She later became Director of Operations, where she helped launch the Ember Certified Contractor Network and supported the rollout of the wildfire mitigation e-commerce division. She stayed closely involved with contractor training, homeowner support, and the day-to-day realities of mitigation work.

When Ember Defense shifted toward emergency response, Brooke and key team members saw a growing gap. Too many people were getting help only after damage was done. That’s when MitigateNow was founded. Today, Brooke leads operational strategy, contractor programs, and homeowner mitigation initiatives nationwide to help families prepare before disaster strikes.

Brooke holds industry certifications, has received professional recognition, and regularly participates in associations dedicated to disaster mitigation and community safety. She also believes strong systems support strong people.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, attending live music events, and being with her husband, dog, and close friends and family.
